Tate to name Maria Balshaw as new director to succeed Serota
Mark Brown and Helen Pidd | The Guardian | 7th January 2017
Director of the Tate is one of the art world’s most prominent roles and a replacement for Nicholas Serota has been much anticipated. The consensus seems to be that Balshaw will bring charismatic leadership, institution building skills and fund raising prowess. Sounds like a perfect template for a modern museum manager.
