Made In China: A Doug Fishbone Project

A London public gallery commissioned a workshop in China to make a £70 replica of an Old Master. It has then been hung it in their collection and visitors challenged to spot it. (The idea is explained here). Attendances have skyrocketed. As Robert Hughes commented, “art requires the long look”.
