An Aboriginal Artist’s Dizzying New York Moment

It was only in 1984 when he was about 25 that Warlimpirrgna Tjapaltjarri’s family first came in contact with white Australians. He started painting three years later and only a year after that first showed his work publicly. He is currently outside of Australia for the first time – visiting New York for his American debut.
