Fame finally comes to little-known Renaissance master Piero di Cosimo

Florentine artist Piero de Cosimo has been overlooked for more than 500 years. Apparently there was just one small exhibition of his work in the entire 20th century. However, coordinated scholarship and now a shared exhibition between museums in Florence and New York is finally revealing that his work is comparable to Botticelli and da Vinci. Enthused one critic “are we ready for a five-hundred-and-fifty-three-year old overnight sensation?”
