Notwithstanding their virtues, art galleries are a costly way to sell. Online sales are cost-efficient but can you be sure what you are buying? This discussion of the issue of authentication – a problem not perfectly solved anywhere – is interesting because it leaves the impression that online selling has bigger days ahead of it.
