Critics are swooning over a British Museum exhibition of some of the most ravishing sculptures ever made. It is a powerful expression of ancient Greek ideals of beauty. However, ticking away in the background is the dispute about repatriating the Parthenon marbles held by the British Museum which has responded in just the last few days to a proposed mediation.
