Art Review: Lee Miller and Picasso, Edinburgh

Lee Miller had many lives. She was a cover girl for Vogue, discovered a talent for photography from working with Man Ray and, together with future husband Roger Penrose, became close friends with Picasso. An exhibition in Edinburgh of her photos illuminates life around Picasso before and after the Second World War. The subtext seems to be that while their friendships survived the war unscathed, perhaps their pre-war optimism did not.
